Terms

These terms are the agreement between you and the person who runs Shipbay (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not create one.

What Shipbay is

Shipbay gives you one page at an address of your choosing, where you list what you have built and link to it. That is the whole service. There is no feed, no ranking and no audience we send you. Anyone with your link can read your page.

Your account

• Give us an email address you can actually receive mail at.
• Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
• Tell us promptly — message @georgevichbiz on X — if you think someone else has got in.
• You must be at least 16 years old.

Your handle

Handles are first come, first served, and some are reserved for running the service. Choosing one gives you the right to use that address while your account is open — you are not buying the name itself.

We may reclaim a handle if:

• it impersonates someone else, or infringes a name or trade mark somebody else holds;
• it was registered mainly to resell or to deny it to someone else;
• the account has been closed or unpaid for 12 months.

Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to reply.

What you put on your page

Your page is yours. You keep every right you already had in the words, names and links you put on it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, and to show it to people who open your page. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.

You are responsible for having the right to post what you post.

If you collect email addresses

You can turn on an email box and collect addresses from your page. Those addresses are yours and your responsibility, not ours. You are the one who has to have a reason to hold them and to honour anyone who asks to be removed. Only use them for what the people who gave them to you would expect, and do not sell them or pass them on.

Shipbay stores the list and lets you download it. It does not send mail on your behalf, so anything you send goes out under your name and under your own obligations.

What is not allowed

• Anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
• Pretending to be another person or organisation.
• Linking to malware, phishing pages or deliberate scams.
• Sexual content involving minors, or content promoting violence.
• Using Shipbay to send bulk unsolicited messages, or to host pages whose purpose is spam.
• Attacking the service — breaking into other accounts, overwhelming our servers, or scraping at a scale that degrades it for others.

We can remove content or close an account that breaks these rules. For anything short of serious or repeated abuse we will tell you why first.

Paying

Shipbay costs $15.00 once, charged when you sign up and not charged again. There is no subscription.

A yearly plan was sold until recently. If you are on one it keeps working exactly as it did, renews as it did, and can be cancelled as it could; it simply cannot be bought any more.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live, which is added at checkout.

What “lifetime” means

It means the lifetime of Shipbay, not yours. A lifetime plan is not charged again for as long as we run the service. It is not a promise that Shipbay will exist forever. If we ever shut down, the section on ending the service below is what applies.

Who you are paying

Payments go through Dodo Payments, who act as the seller of record. Your receipt and card statement come from them, and their terms cover the payment itself. We never see your card details.

Renewals and cancelling

A single payment does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. If you are on one of the old yearly plans it renews automatically: cancel any time before the renewal date and you will not be charged again, and your page keeps working until the period you have paid for runs out. We do not refund part of a year after it has begun, except where the law says otherwise.

Refunds

If you change your mind within 14 days of a first payment, message @georgevichbiz on X and we will refund it. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, your statutory right to withdraw within 14 days applies on top of this, and nothing here limits it.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like. Doing so takes your page down and deletes your content, and does not by itself entitle you to a refund.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close yours for anything other than serious abuse, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.

If we stop running Shipbay

We will give you at least 60 days’ notice by email, keep the service running through that time so you can copy your content elsewhere, and refund the unused part of any yearly plan. Anything bought outright within the previous 12 months will be refunded in full.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will run Shipbay with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. It is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and which cannot be excluded.

Keep your own copy of anything on your page that matters to you. We take backups, but we do not guarantee we can restore your content.

Liability

We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including, for consumers, your statutory rights.

Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or lost data.

Changes

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you at least 30 days beforehand, and you may cancel and take a refund of the unused part of what you paid. Continuing to use Shipbay after that date means you accept the new terms.

We may change the service itself, but we will not remove something central to it — your page, your projects, your links — without notice and the same right to a refund.

Law

If you are a consumer, the law of the country you live in applies and its courts can hear any dispute — that protection cannot be signed away, and nothing here tries to. Otherwise, the law of the country Shipbay is run from applies.
